Explore Lutron controls

Where the work lands.

  1. Lutron lighting and controls

Caséta, RA3, and HomeWorks systems specified, wired, and programmed by a certified installer.

  2. Dimming and scene planning

Scenes built for morning, entertaining, and late evening, with dimmer curves matched to the actual fixtures on each load.

  3. Interior and exterior lighting

One control layer across the house, patio, and grounds so the outside is not a separate set of switches by the door.

  4. Recessed and architectural lighting

Cove, cabinet, and linear runs laid out with beam angle, color temperature, and CRI chosen before anything is ordered.

  5. Decorative fixture installation

Chandeliers, pendants, and sconces set at the right height and aim, including two-story and over-stair installs.

  6. Landscape and security lighting

Path, uplight, and facade lighting on timers or astronomic clocks, wired for desert heat and irrigation exposure.

Lutron

Light is planned, not placed.

Lighting fails in predictable ways: LEDs that buzz on the wrong dimmer, five unmarked switches by the front door, and a patio running off a completely separate system. As a certified Lutron installer, Eric specs the fixtures and the control system together — Caséta, RA3, or HomeWorks — wires the loads by scene, and sets the levels on site at night with you standing there.

When lighting stops being about fixtures.

  • Every room is on one flat overhead layer with nothing in between.

  • LED retrofits are flickering, buzzing, or refusing to dim smoothly.

  • There are five switches by the front door and nobody knows which is which.

  • A designer specified a control system and it needs someone certified to install it.

Four steps, every time.

The scope changes from job to job. The sequence does not, so you always know what happens next and what it depends on.

  1. Read the architecture

Ceiling heights, materials, glazing, and sightlines set where light should land before any fixture is chosen.

  2. Specify fixtures and control

Lamping, color temperature, dimming protocol, and the Lutron system tier are selected as one package.

  3. Wire for the system

Loads are grouped for scenes, keypads are placed on the paths people actually walk, and neutrals go everywhere.

  4. Tune the scenes

After trim, we set levels on site at night with you present, then label keypads and leave the programming documented.

Plan Your Project

Questions about lutron lighting & controls.

What is included in Lutron lighting-control planning?

Planning can include fixture loads, switching, dimming compatibility, scene behavior, control locations, equipment space, color temperature, and coordination with the architecture.

Can Lutron controls be installed in an existing home?

Often, yes. The right approach depends on existing wiring, neutral availability, fixture compatibility, control goals, and access to the affected locations.

Why should fixtures and controls be selected together?

Fixture and dimmer compatibility affects range, flicker, noise, and reliability. Coordinating them early produces more predictable lighting and scene control.

What is the difference between Caséta, RA3, and HomeWorks?

Caséta suits single rooms and smaller homes, RA3 covers whole-home control with keypads and scenes, and HomeWorks handles larger properties with deeper integration and custom programming.

Who sets the lighting scenes?

V12 Electric programs and tunes the scenes on site, at night, with you present, then labels the keypads and leaves the programming documented.
